Who we are

Pixbee was created in 2008. 

The first years were dedicated to the production of television programs and documentaries for RTP.

In 2014, the development and production department of cinematographic documentaries was created. The first documentary (Os Irmãos) won the Grand Prix Festival Caminhos, 2015, do Cinema Português and the Lince de Ouro at the Fest Espinho International Festival, 2016.

In 2018, Pixbee began producing fictional projects such as television series and short films with new talents.

Pixbee won the Best Film Award – ABDeC at the Festival É tudo Verdade em São Paulo with a short documentary “Vento de Sal”, by Anna Azevedo; won the Big Prize of the Brasília Film Festival with the film “Saudade do Futuro”, by Anna Azevedo.

In 2023, the first long film called “As Aves” will be produced with the financial support of ICA.

At the moment, Pixbee produced 15 projects with presence in festivals such as É Tudo Verdade (BR), Festival de Gijón (ES), Festival de Brasília (BR), Cartagena IFF (CO), DOCS MX (MX), FEST- New Directors, New Films (PT), and others, and in addition two of its projects have been supported by ICA.   

The Pixbee studio also offers post-production solutions and international service.
